When we talk about weight loss, we often hear the term "phases of weight loss." How does this type of diet work? How do you choose a diet that is right for your weight loss goals? What are some of the different phases of weight loss and how can they affect your efforts to lose weight? Here is a general overview of the four different phases of weight loss.

The first stage of weight loss is maintenance. You maintain the weight loss, sometimes you even gain back some, but typically you don't go hungry, eat small portioned meals and feel like less of an individual with the exercise regimen. As you move through the maintenance phase you may start to see results from the exercise program and be motivated to increase the amount of exercise.

The next stage of dieting is maintenance again. In this stage many people will start eating again and will eat smaller portioned meals more often. The idea here is to not over-analyze every meal. There are many people who go on a "diet" and then fail to follow through because they became bored with the diet and did not stick with it long enough. With the maintenance phase you should be able to start enjoying your diet again without thinking about what you might have overeaten or want to have.

During the third stage of losing weight you start to slow down with your exercise. You start to lose weight slower as you realize you are not losing fat by exercising as fast as you were at first. In the maintenance phase you will be slightly discouraged with how slowly you are losing weight and may even think about giving up. However, if you stick with it you will eventually reach your goal and will feel good about yourself when you realize you are not gaining back all of the fat you lost.

In the fourth and final stage of losing weight you will feel very proud of yourself. You have successfully reached your goal! At this point you should already be doing some exercise that you like. You have probably cut down your caloric intake to something you can still maintain yourself, and you have also reined in on the junk food you are eating. These things will take some adjustment, but after a while your body will adjust to the diet and you will be losing weight very quickly.

When you reach these important milestones in your weight loss journey, it will be time to celebrate. You will probably be feeling very good about yourself, even if you didn't achieve your goal during that timeframe. If not then you should definitely celebrate. This is important because you will be motivated to do even better in the next few weeks. Each milestone that you reach will become more important as you move further into the weight loss journey. Don't push yourself too hard too soon; give yourself time to celebrate each success as well as each failure.

If you have succeeded in reaching your weight loss goals then you now know what the first phase entails. You have completed all the steps in the first phase and can now successfully drop the extra weight. It is at this point you can decide whether or not you want to continue your weight loss journey by cutting back on your calories, or if you wish to add exercise to your daily routine. Both choices have different impacts on your health and can lead to other problems. It is up to you to find the type of exercise that works best for you. If you are successful in shedding the pounds, then keep in mind that even with the best exercises and the best nutrition you will still not be able to maintain weight loss for very long.

The second and third phases of shannariva weight loss will lead to increased weight gain and increased health risks.
